Dear Scholarship Applicant:
One of the missions of the Urban League for Bergen County (ULBC) is to assist African American and other minorities with the achievement of educational, social and economic equality. Historically, the Urban League for Bergen County (ULBC) has awarded scholarships that have enabled scores of high school graduates the opportunity to pursue a college education. The Scholarship committee of the ULBC has selected outstanding students who have attended local colleges and universities as well as historically black colleges located in all areas of the nation.
Scholarships are available to Bergen County students who are graduating from high school in June 2017. Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, community service and financial need. Applications are available at your High School guidance office as well as the Urban League office. The Office is located at 12 Tenafly Road in Englewood New Jersey. Scholarship time lines:
All applications must be completed and submitted to the Urban League office at 12 Tenafly Road Englewood New Jersey 07631 by SaturdayApril 30, 2017 at 4:00pm
Those applicants who will be interviewed will be called for an appointment after the scholarship committee has reviewed the applications.
Those applicants that are awarded scholarships will be recognized during the Urban League’s scholar celebration TBA.
