ULBC Visits Whittier Elementary School

On January 25th and February 13th, two leaders of ULBC, Jeffrey Richardson (Interim Executive Director) and Veronica Frazier (Assistant Director, Home Keeper Director, Office Director and Youth Adviser) visited Whittier Elementary School in Teaneck to discuss the importance of an inauguration with the children of Ms. Lionetti’s class as well as the whole school, citing experiences from their own trip to the Inauguration of President Barack Obama in Washington D.C. on January 21st, 2013.

After the discussion about the inauguration, the topic of leadership was also thoroughly discussed. Jeffrey Richardson discussed how he displayed leadership and told kids how they can also by helping save homes. To help save homes, the children were given flyers to share, which detailed the New Jersey Home Keeper program. By giving the children flyers, they can share it and bring awareness to  adults they know that are struggling with their mortgage payments. To encourage and reward the children for their willingness to share the flyers, they were give “Obama dollars”.
